As one of the 54 African countries that make up the African Union, Mr. Mohamed Abdelmalek Al-Faqih, Chairman of the Board of the company, is participating, along with a delegation from the Libyan Ministry of Industry and Minerals, in the General Assembly of the African Union Commission and the Special Technical Committee meeting in Malabo, Republic of Equatorial Guinea. The meeting included representatives from 36 African countries.
During the two-day ministerial meeting, the participants discussed reports presented by experts from the Special Technical Committee in the fields of trade, tourism, and minerals. These reports included various topics related to enhancing cooperation and trade exchange among African countries, as well as optimal utilization of the continent’s resources and capabilities.
The meeting concluded with the adoption of the recommendations made by the committee, which aim to achieve the highest levels of economic cooperation facilitation and enhance e-commerce between African countries.
His Excellency the Minister of Industry and Minerals, Dr. Ahmed Abuheisa, spoke during his intervention about the potentials of the African continent and ways to utilize them, the necessity of connecting cooperation between the continent’s countries, and the role of the African Union in this. He also addressed the need to enhance global peace and the Union’s role in that.
